The bathroom wasn’t the safest place but it would have to do.
She was scared, scared of big judged, scared of peoples opinions.
“It can’t be that bad, can it?” she said out loud.
That sentence had been repeated so many times, it didn’t mean anything anymore.
She was going to do it.
She had put it off too long, hoping the feelings were going to go away.
But they hadn’t, so she had to face up to them.
She was sure she was going to be thrown out of the house as soon as she spoke those words.
All the things her parents would say came flooding, “Oh, no, you’re not like that.” ,
“Your sister would never do or be a thing like that.” , “Are you trying to hurt us?”
She felt like she was going to cry, but she didn’t.
No tears came.
Nothing.
“Em, come down, what are you doing up there?” shouted her mum.
